Get 'FREE' Google Traffic To Your Website:
Differentiate Between Fact and Fiction and Move Your Site To The Top
.

By James Martell

If you don't understand the changes Google made to its algorithm over the last 12-18 months, you may be under the erroneous impression that it is nearly impossible to achieve top ranking at the world's largest search engine.

The truth is that with just a bit more knowledge, you can move your sites into the top results and gain massive amounts of free traffic. In fact, all it takes is a few simple up-to-date strategies and a better understanding of what is fact and what is fiction.

Fiction #1 - It "takes forever" to get ranked in the top 10 results at Google.

Fiction #2 - You need "hundreds of pages of content" to gain natural search rankings.

Fiction #3 - If you want top rankings, you need "hundreds of inbound links" to your site.

Gaining top rankings at Google first begins with believing that you can do it. Let's face it, if you don't, you wouldn't even try.

From there, the key to obtaining top rankings for your keywords begins with understanding that Google is in the business of providing its users with the most relevant search results possible.

In doing this, Google utilizes a very advanced algorithm that understands the complexity of language, and in an instant can determine which pages boast the highest quality and which are most relevant, and it is these pages that Google serves up to its users (at the top).

Google also determines where a page should rank by analyzing the back links that point to it.

Now, consider these facts:

Fact #1 - Google finds and ranks pages faster than ever.

Fact #2 - Google has an amazing ability to purge low-quality pages.

Fact #3 - Google ignores low-quality back links.

Fact #4 - Google loves unique and interesting content.

Fact #5 - Google high values quality links. (editor's note: inbound especially).

Bearing in mind these facts, it's easy to see that achieving a high page ranking on Google, which garners you free traffic, requires carefully crafted content that is both valuable to the reader and written well enough to make Google stop and take note.

Sure, it can be on the topic of your choice. The trick is that it be well researched, well written, and good enough to prompt other quality sites to link to it. And if you get good at doing that, which is really just giving Google want it wants, you will have no problem getting your own top rankings!

1&1 Affiliate Success Formulas

Write Articles to promote your 1&1 Affiliate Link.

Write articles about the benefits of using Blogging software, automatic Photo Gallery creators, or any other feature which 1&1 offers with it's shared hosting packages. You can include a subtle recommendation for the product within the article or in the "About the Author" section.

Here are a few tips to help you getting started.

- Provide information and tips in your articles. Any recommendations you make should refer to products discussed in your article..
The recommendation should not be its main purpose. Information IS.

Not sure how to start? Here are a few topic ideas:

- Write a list of your top 5 or 10 reasons why simple Blogging software or WYSIWYG Website Builder software is gaining in popularity.

- How you picked your domain name or domain registrar.

- How to use password protected directories and photo album software to share family pictures with loved ones.

When writing your articles, always keep in mind that you don't want them to sound like sales pitches, but more as a resource for your readers. Try to keep them 1 to 3 pages long and create good section headlines. Draw from your personal experience as wel as any research you may do.

Getting Your Articles Published:

The first place to publish your articles is your own webiste and even better your own newsletter (published with the 1&1 News Letter Tool), or your own blog.

There are many FREE article submission website where you can post your article to be picked up by other website and newsletter owners to use in their site or publication. Including your affiliate links is an accepted practice, as long as your article contains good, solid content. Or you can also link back to your own website where readers will find more or similar content.

Here a short list of places that accept article submissions. Be sure to read all the submission guidelines before sending your articles. There are hundreds of other sites and ways to distribute your articles.

Affiliate Question of the Month

When I visit my Affiliate Statistics in my Control Panel the message is: "no data available". What does this mean?

Traffic that you send to our website through your affiliate link will not show up in your affiliate statistics.
The statistics will only record how many sales are made and when a sale is paid out.

The legend below indicates which commissions were earned.

It usually takes between 24 and 48 hours for a sale generated through your affiliate link to show up in your statistics. If there is a delay in the account getting activated, the stats could be delayed as well.
